The position is a day-shift role covering 40 hours per week, scheduled as five 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday. The anesthetist's caseload centers on transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) and, rarely, cardioversions. Cath lab work is not expected unless an emergency arises, and emergency room cases are covered only when needed.

The CRNA works under the supervision of a surgeon or an anesthesiologist rather than independently. Candidates need NBCRNA certification and a Missouri license, and the posting notes that the Nurse Anesthesia Compact is accepted. Required credentials also include ACLS, BLS, PALS, a DEA registration, and a Missouri CSR. One year of experience is required.
