Full details
The position starts as soon as possible, roughly 45 days after an offer is extended. Weekday assignments run either 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 3 p.m. to 7 a.m. on call, while weekend work is a 24-hour block from 7 a.m. to 7 a.m. Weekend and holiday call is typically one in four.
Case types include orthopedics (total joints, neuro spine and sports), general surgery, plastics (cosmetic and reconstructive), podiatry, obstetrics with 35 to 50 cesarean sections a year, ophthalmology (cataracts), and neuraxial techniques such as spinals, epidurals and combined spinal-epidurals. The practice follows a CRNA-only model with no physician oversight.
Candidates must be able to respond to call within 30 minutes. Required credentials include NBCRNA certification, an active Minnesota license, and a DEA registration, along with BLS, ACLS, PALS and Neonatal Resuscitation certifications. At least two years of experience is required.
Key skills include nerve blocks, obstetric anesthesia, general anesthesia and spinals. Pediatric experience is preferred, and rural health experience is strongly preferred.
