Full details
A locum tenens CRNA assignment in the lakes region of Northern Wisconsin is available for an independent practitioner seeking a full-time role with a mix of cases in a collegial setting. The assignment can begin as soon as possible, noting that credentialing takes about 60 days, and is ongoing with a preference for six months or longer.
Weekday hours run from 7:00 a.m. to either 3:00 p.m. or 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Providers also rotate night and weekend beeper call, with a 15 to 30 minute response expected. The practice mixes inpatient and outpatient work under a medically supervised model.
The clinical scope includes general anesthesia, monitored anesthesia care, spinal and epidural anesthesia, and obstetrics. Common cases involve orthopedics, gynecology, gastrointestinal procedures, endoscopy, urology, general surgery, and healthy pediatric patients. The role also covers ventilation, airway management, and placement of central and arterial lines. Cardiac, complex neurologic, and complex vascular cases are excluded.
The facility uses Dräger anesthesia machines, Omnicell medication dispensing, and the Cerner electronic medical record system.
Compensation is quoted at $225 to $260 per hour, depending on term and hours. Travel, lodging, and rental car or mileage reimbursement are included, and malpractice coverage from an A+ rated carrier is provided. All-inclusive rate packages are also available. Contractors gain access to the Independent Contractors Benefits Association, credentialing support, and dedicated locum assistance.
The area offers year-round outdoor recreation, including boating, fishing, and hiking in summer and skiing and snow sports in winter. The community is small and close-knit, with local shops and restaurants, and it lies within reach of a larger metro area and a regional airport.
