The practice is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to work within an anesthesiology group that operates under medical supervision and supports independent CRNA practice. The hospital is a Level II trauma center, and in-house locum opportunities are available.

The CRNA would provide anesthesia care while maintaining a productive working relationship with the supervising anesthesiologist, helping to keep the department adequately staffed. Responsibilities include applying current anesthesia principles, delivering safe therapeutic care, promoting safe conditions for both patients and staff, pursuing ongoing professional development, and taking on reasonable duties beyond the written job description.

The role calls for the ability to interpret and adapt guidelines and procedures, uphold quality control standards, and take thorough medical histories to assess patients and interpret what they reveal.

Candidates need a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist credential, a current Missouri CRNA license, and a current Missouri RN license or an RN license from a compact state, with the compact license held in the nurse's state of residence. Basic Life Support must be obtained within 120 days, Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 180 days, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 120 days.

The position is a day shift with a broad range of anesthetics and procedures, including spinal and regional techniques, arterial lines, and central lines. Cases span general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, urology, obstetrics and gynecology, podiatry, robotic procedures, GI, and healthy pediatric patients. Scheduling can be quite flexible to suit the provider's preferred arrangement.
