Full details
The schedule is 8-hour days, 07:00 to 15:00. The role is a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist position in Savannah, Georgia, within a team-based anesthesia practice covering St. Joseph's and Candler Hospitals. The practice describes a high degree of clinical autonomy and a recently announced compensation package. Candler Hospital, chartered in 1804, is described as Georgia's first hospital and a 384-bed facility affiliated with the Methodist Church, while St. Joseph's has served the community since 1934 and is building a new six-story tower with 90 private rooms.
Anesthesia coverage also extends to Effingham Hospital in Springfield, Georgia, and several ambulatory surgery centers. Case work spans cardiac, general, orthopedic, neurological, GI, vascular, endocrine, gynecological, and pediatric procedures, along with radiologic and interventional cardiac cases, and the practice does not cover obstetrics. Schedule options include weekday daytime work from Monday through Friday, with call and non-call positions available and additional shifts offered as well.
Duties include delivering full anesthesia care across surgical cases, completing pre-anesthesia assessments and securing informed consent, and building anesthetic plans in discussion with patients. The nurse anesthetist manages induction, maintenance, and emergence, monitors physiological status and responds with interventions as needed, and contributes to departmental coordination and clinical leadership.
Compensation is listed as a non-call salary of $199K to $224K and a call salary of $225K to $248,500, with a $50K sign-on incentive. Benefits include health, life, vision, dental, disability, and accidental death and dismemberment coverage, generous paid time off, flexible spending and health savings accounts, fully paid malpractice coverage, and available loan repayment and training assistance.
Applicants need a current registered professional nursing license, graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and current certification or recertification through the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
