Full details

This per diem CRNA opening is based in Wayne and Paterson, New Jersey, and is open to new graduates. St. Joseph's University Medical Center is part of St. Joseph's Health, a system sponsored since 1867 by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, with additional facilities across the state. The anesthesia group describes its CRNAs as working within a collaborative care team built on mutual respect and excellence.

The position pays $165 per hour. The schedule avoids nights, call, and weekends, with full-time hours of 36 to 40 per week available. Cases span bariatric, orthopedic, spine, endoscopy, vascular, urology, and neurosurgical procedures, and cardiac cases are excluded.

Responsibilities include delivering full anesthesia care across surgical procedures, completing pre-anesthesia evaluations and securing informed consent, and building and reviewing anesthetic plans with patients. The CRNA manages induction, maintenance, and emergence, monitors physiological status and adjusts care as needed, and contributes to departmental coordination and clinical leadership.

Applicants must hold a current registered professional nursing license and have graduated from an accredited nurse anesthesia program. Certification or recertification through the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists is required.
