The anesthesia practice staffs each day with two physicians and two to three CRNAs supervising general cases. The caseload is heavy on orthopedics and excludes obstetrics, open-heart procedures, and transplants.

Shifts run either 10 or 12 hours. The two-week rotation runs Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with beeper call from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Weekend coverage is 7 a.m. to 7 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday with beeper availability, followed by two weeks off.
