BayCare Medical Group is recruiting Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists to join its collaborative anesthesia team at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, Florida, a flagship site within the BayCare Health System. The practice is medically supervised and emphasizes a supportive relationship between physicians, CRNAs, and anesthesiology assistants, with physicians described as approachable, team-focused, and readily available.

The caseload is broad and high-acuity, spanning trauma, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics for patients of all ages, vascular, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, neurosurgery, robotics, thoracic, oral and maxillofacial surgery, endoscopy, urology, and ENT. Open-heart cases, adult or pediatric, are not part of the role. Pediatric anesthesiologists offer mentorship to help CRNAs become comfortable caring for children of every age. Shifts may be scheduled as 8, 10, or 12 hours.

Candidates need a current registered professional nurse license, graduation from or expected graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and current certification or recertification through the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.

Compensation includes a competitive salary and sign-on bonus with tiers based on years of experience, eight weeks of PTO available from the start, an annual CME allowance of $2,500, and shift differentials along with evening and weekend stipends. Benefits cover medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and a retirement plan with employer match. Malpractice insurance is covered at 100 percent, and the not-for-profit employer is eligible for public service loan forgiveness.

St. Joseph's Hospital is a private, not-for-profit community hospital founded in 1934 and now part of BayCare Health System. It has 615 beds at its main adult campus, one of the busiest emergency centers in the region, and more than 70 specialties, and it is growing through facility upgrades. Its campus also includes women's and children's hospitals, bringing the location's total to 934 beds.

Tampa offers access to Gulf Coast beaches, waterfront trails, and year-round outdoor recreation, along with a large arts, sports, and dining scene and a mix of urban and suburban neighborhoods.
