Full details

The CRNA provides anesthesia care in line with their training, licensure and certification, working within their own scope and under the oversight of a supervising anesthesiologist. The position calls for teamwork and a commitment to the organization's core values of compassion, collaboration, excellence and integrity.

The practice is described as collegial and relaxed, operating under a care team model, with colleagues including experienced physicians, CRNAs and clinical staff who prioritize teamwork, mutual respect and quality patient care. The caseload is varied and includes general surgery, neurosurgical and spinal procedures, vascular, robotic, ear-nose-throat, gastrointestinal, obstetric and gynecologic, eye, urologic, and orthopedic cases, as well as non-operating-room anesthesia, with no trauma or cardiac cases.

Core duties include completing thorough pre-anesthetic assessments and designing individualized anesthesia plans. The CRNA gives and manages anesthetic agents, medications, fluids, blood products and monitoring across the full perioperative period, handling induction, maintenance, emergence and handoff to post-anesthesia care. They also work with anesthesiologists and the wider team to track patient condition, report meaningful changes and revise plans as needed.

Required qualifications include graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program recognized by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists, a master's degree in nursing or anesthesia, at least two years of practice as a CRNA, and a current, unrestricted Oregon license to practice as a CRNA. Applicants must hold American Heart Association ACLS certification by the time of hire and must be active members in good standing of the hospital's medical staff with full privileges. Bilingual ability is viewed as an advantage.
