Full details
The team of more than 85 full-time CRNAs works in a physician-led collaborative practice across Cooper Norcross Health's Camden locations and several sites in South Jersey, including Mt. Laurel, Voorhees, Moorestown, Willingboro, and Cape Regional. Anesthetic work covers general, regional, and local anesthesia as well as intravenous sedation, with the CRNA developing a patient-specific plan and choosing the technique. The role includes administering anesthetics, accessory drugs, and fluids to maintain physiologic balance and correct abnormal responses to anesthesia or surgery.
Responsibilities also include placing noninvasive and invasive monitoring and interpreting the patient data it produces, managing the airway and pulmonary status through intubation, ventilation, pharmacologic support, and extubation, and overseeing emergence and recovery. CRNAs order or adjust pain relief therapy using medications, regional techniques, or other accepted methods, and respond to codes, trauma alerts, and airway emergencies with advanced or basic cardiac life support.
Anesthesia is delivered in the main Camden operating room, which has 30 beds, and in outside-of-OR settings such as obstetrics, GI, the EP lab, TEE, neuro interventional radiology, MRI, interventional radiology, bronchoscopy, pain procedures, and trauma responses. Other sites include a 5-bed digestive health center in Mt. Laurel, 5-bed and 9-bed surgery centers in Voorhees and Moorestown, a 1-bed GI unit in Willingboro, and a 2-bed operating room plus a 4-bed surgery center at Cape Regional.
Professional development opportunities include involvement in SRNA education with several nurse anesthesia programs, military education and training participation, quality, safety, and regulatory survey readiness, performance improvement, morbidity and mortality review, and cost-saving initiatives. The position is full time, with multiple shift options available.
Candidates need an MSN or DNP in nurse anesthesia, board certification as a CRNA, a current New Jersey RN license and New Jersey APN license, current NBCRNA certification, a current DEA license, and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. The posted salary range is $82.00 to $137.00.
