Full details
The practice is a physician-led collaborative model with a team of more than 85 full-time CRNAs across Camden, Mt. Laurel, Voorhees, Moorestown, Willingboro, and Cape Regional. CRNAs develop patient-specific anesthetic plans and select the anesthetic technique, whether general, regional, local, or intravenous sedation. They choose, obtain, and give anesthetics, adjunct drugs, and fluids to keep patients stable and correct abnormal responses to anesthesia or surgery.
Responsibilities also include placing noninvasive and invasive monitors and interpreting the physiologic data they produce. CRNAs manage airways and pulmonary function, including intubation, mechanical ventilation, drug support, respiratory therapy, and extubation, and they oversee emergence and recovery. They treat pain and anesthesia side effects, order or adjust pain therapies using drugs, regional techniques, or other accepted methods, and respond to codes, trauma alerts, and airway emergencies with advanced or basic life support.
Anesthesia sites include the main operating room in Camden, with a 30-bed capacity, and many areas outside the OR such as obstetrics, GI, the EP lab, TEE, neuro interventional radiology, MRI, interventional radiology, bronchoscopy, pain service, and trauma responses. Other sites are Cooper Digestive Health Center (5 beds), Voorhees Surgery Center (5 beds), Moorestown Surgery Center (9 beds), BMA Cooper Specialty Care GI (1 bed), and at Cape Regional, a 2-bed main operating room and a 4-bed surgery center.
Professional growth opportunities include taking part in student registered nurse anesthetist education with several university programs, military education and training, quality, safety, and regulatory compliance work, survey readiness, performance improvement, morbidity and mortality review, and cost-savings initiatives.
Candidates must hold an MSN or DNP in nurse anesthesia and be board certified as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Required credentials include a current New Jersey RN license, a current New Jersey APN license, current NBCRNA certification, a current DEA license, and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. The position is full time with multiple shift options, and the posted salary range is $82.00 to $137.00.
