Full details
This locum tenens role in Virginia is a hospital assignment for a CRNA seeking a more flexible schedule, with an ongoing term and a start as soon as possible. The caseload is broad and covers general, spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia across adult, pediatric, neonatal, trauma, and obstetrical patients.
Advanced procedures are part of the scope, including neurosurgical, head, spine, thoracic, and open-heart anesthesia, as well as complex vascular and orthopedic surgery. Pain work is also expected, such as post-operative nerve blocks and epidural steroid injections in the lumbar and cervical spine, plus transforaminal and fluoroscopy-guided procedures. Ventilation, acute fluid and blood pressure management, and placement of central venous, arterial, and pulmonary artery catheters round out the clinical duties.
Scheduled clinical hours are combined with in-house call, which comes roughly once every eight weeks with a 45-minute response window. Coverage covers both planned cases and unassigned needs. The facility uses Epic for its electronic medical records.
Pay is described as competitive locum tenens compensation, though no specific rate is stated in the posting. Candidates must complete the most recent vaccine requirements.
