Full details
The Henry Ford Hospital Wyandotte, located at 2333 Biddle Ave in Wyandotte, Michigan, is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join its anesthesia care team on a contingent basis. The nurse anesthetist would deliver intravenous, inhalation, and regional anesthesia so patients remain free of pain during surgery, obstetrical deliveries, and other procedures. Care may be given to patients of every age and ASA class, including geriatric and pediatric patients, and airway management is provided across the hospital as needed.
The assignment covers 10 operating rooms with VATS and neuro cases, plus interventional OR 4, three GI procedure rooms, the cath lab, EP lab, MRI, interventional radiology, and obstetrics. Day-to-day duties include completing pre-anesthesia evaluations and building individualized anesthesia plans, providing general, regional, or monitored anesthesia care alongside surgeons and other clinicians, watching patients through procedures and handling any anesthesia complications, and delivering post-anesthesia recovery and pain control. Accurate charting that meets hospital policy and regulatory standards is expected throughout.
Candidates need a current Michigan RN license, NBCRNA certification, and graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program. Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to work cooperatively with anesthesiologists and other providers are essential. The role also requires clinical privileges, a state specialty certification, and current ALS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
Benefits include a competitive salary, family-forming support such as paid parental leave, adoption and donor assistance, and fertility healthcare coverage. The employer offers a 403(b) retirement plan with a 3.5% salary match, along with medical, dental, and vision coverage and tax-advantaged accounts (HSA, FSA, and DCFSA).
