Full details
The assignment covers the period from March 29 through April 2, and the CRNA is expected to work scheduled daily clinical hours along with on-call duty. The role involves giving intravenous, general, and regional anesthesia to keep patients free of pain during surgical procedures, obstetric deliveries, and other medical procedures. Regional anesthesia experience is preferred but not required. Case types include general surgery, orthopedic surgery, urology, gynecology, cesarean sections, and optometry-related cases.
Candidates should have at least three years of experience, an unrestricted North Carolina registered nurse license, current CRNA certification, and a degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia program. Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required, while PALS certification is preferred. Providers must be credentialed with NC Medicaid and must be vaccinated or hold a documented religious or medical exemption. The provider's NPI number should be included in the bid.
The hospital supplies newly renovated apartments for locum providers, with WiFi and cable included, and provides meal passes. Travel expenses such as mileage, airfare, or rental car are capped at $500.00. Malpractice insurance is provided. CRNAs must respond to calls within 15 minutes, and timesheets are to be left on site with the hospital contact for review before being returned to the agency.
The facility handles roughly 1,000 cases per quarter and is supported by an anesthesia team, with a medical director covering around the clock every day of the week. Case mix is weighted toward orthopedics, urology, general surgery, and obstetrics and gynecology. The position is in North Carolina, and the compensation is listed as negotiable.
