Full details

The schedule is four 10-hour days a week, 07:00 to 17:00. The workweek is steady, with no weekends, no call, and no holiday coverage.

The role covers a wide range of anesthesia care, including general, spinal, epidural, and regional techniques across surgical and obstetrical cases. Duties include neurosurgical work on the head and spine, complex vascular cases excluding open heart, and complex orthopedic procedures. The anesthetist would also provide pain management such as post-operative epidural and extremity blocks, along with epidural steroid injections for the lumbar and cervical spine.

Other responsibilities include ventilation management, treating acute fluid and blood pressure problems, and placing central and arterial lines. CRNA coverage extends to general surgery, gynecology, orthopedics, labor and delivery, the cath lab, the CV lab, and interventional radiology, and the anesthetist would also handle house-wide intubations. The setting is inpatient, with a varying patient volume each day.

Required credentials include board certification in anesthesiology along with ACLS, BLS, and PALS. Epic experience is part of the electronic record environment. The staffing mix on the team includes one RN and one office staff member.

Compensation is described as strong, with travel-related expenses covered and A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided. A dedicated recruiter is available for later travel assignments.
