Full details

The schedule is four 10-hour days a week, 07:00 to 17:00. Shifts fall on weekdays only, with no weekends, no call and no holiday coverage.

The scope spans general anesthesia, spinal and epidural techniques, and a range of regional blocks across surgical and obstetrical patients. Neurosurgical work on the head and spine, complex vascular cases excluding open heart, and complex orthopedic procedures are included. The anesthetist would also provide post-operative pain management such as epidural and extremity blocks, lumbar and cervical epidural steroid injections, and ventilation management.

Other duties include addressing acute fluid and blood pressure problems, placing central and arterial lines, and covering CRNA needs for general surgery, gynecology, orthopedics, labor and delivery, the cath lab, the cardiovascular lab and interventional radiology. The provider would also take part in facility-wide intubations.

Board certification in Anesthesiology is listed, along with current ACLS, BLS and PALS credentials. The record system used is Epic, and the number of patients per day varies.

Benefits include competitive pay, reimbursement of travel-related costs, and A-rated medical malpractice coverage. The agency also offers help finding later travel assignments.
