Full details

This full-time, part-time, or contingent/PRN Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist role at Trinity Health Ann Arbor sits in the Anesthesiology department and is posted at a rate of $132.00. Scheduling is flexible, with shift options offered across several lengths.

Working under the medical direction of an anesthesiologist, the CRNA develops anesthetic plans and delivers anesthesia in assigned areas. The role involves monitoring patients' physiological status during anesthesia, taking corrective steps on their own or at the physician's direction, and completing pre- and post-operative evaluations with accurate electronic medical record documentation. Responsibilities also include preparing supplies, drugs, and equipment for each case, reviewing charts to plan procedures, securing IV access, and providing emergency airway support across the facility.

Additional duties include intubation, managing blood, fluid, and electrolyte shifts, maintaining cardiovascular and respiratory function, and handling emergencies such as confirming recovery from muscle relaxants and opioids. When trained and credentialed, the CRNA may place arterial lines and perform spinal or IV regional anesthesia. Every case must be recorded thoroughly on the anesthetic or patient record.

Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in nursing and graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program with a master's degree or PhD. Candidates need CRNA certification and an RN license plus a CRNA specialty license in Michigan, or must obtain the state license within six months of hire. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are also required, and prior experience is preferred.

Benefits begin on day one with no waiting period and include medical, dental, vision, PTO, life insurance, and short- and long-term disability coverage. The package also offers a retirement savings plan with employer matching and contributions, daily pay access, tuition reimbursement, and room to advance within SJMHS and Trinity Health. The sign-on bonus is listed as $30,000 in the title.
