The weekend-focused schedule runs Friday through Monday, with no call and no night shifts, and Saturday and Sunday assignments are always at HCA Sunrise. Pay is described as competitive, with weekend pay included and a stated figure of $296,000. Other offers include a $45,000 sign-on bonus, $10,000 in relocation help, six weeks of paid time off, a CME allowance, a 401k match, quarterly profit sharing, and malpractice coverage that includes tail insurance. Rates are reported as higher for OB, pediatrics, and other specialties.
Facilities listed include HCA Sunrise, HCA Mountainview, Dignity Siena, Dignity San Martin, and UHS Summerlin hospitals, along with several ambulatory surgery centers in the city. CRNAs can take on leadership roles locally and nationally, including a national advisory committee. Nevada levies no state income tax.
Candidates need a Nevada registered nurse license or eligibility for one, and must meet the state's advanced practice requirements. A degree from a nurse anesthesia program accredited by the Council on Accreditation is required, and students may apply if they are in the certification process. Applicants must hold current certification, be eligible for initial certification while awaiting results, or hold current recertification, and must be insurable by a medical malpractice carrier at the required limits.
