Full details

The schedule is 24-hour shifts. The role is a trauma anesthesia position at Piedmont Columbus Regional's Midtown and Northside campuses in Columbus, Georgia, where the team includes nine physicians and 41 CRNAs. The position suits a clinician who does well in a fast-moving, high-acuity setting and who is comfortable handling unplanned surgical emergencies, with the independence and varied caseload that trauma work brings.

Responsibilities include handling urgent add-on cases, trauma activations on short notice, and emergent operations, along with quick patient assessment, building an anesthetic plan, securing the airway, setting up monitoring, and adjusting care as a patient's condition shifts. The practice expects full scope of practice.

Candidates should be NBCRNA board-certified and authorized to work in the United States. Experience with difficult airways and rapid-sequence induction is expected, as is a commitment to evidence-based practice and the ability to manage quickly changing clinical situations.

Extended-shift options are offered for those who prefer fewer workdays.

Compensation is listed as an annual salary between $245,000 and $275,000, with a commencement bonus of up to $75,000. W2 and 1099 arrangements are both available, and relocation assistance is offered.

Columbus sits on the Georgia-Alabama border and is Georgia's second-largest city after Atlanta. It offers relatively affordable housing, running trails, and the Uptown district with its restaurants and parks.
