The provider is also expected to support patient satisfaction through methods such as post-op visits, follow-up calls and third-party reviews, and to keep accurate, timely records of the anesthesia care delivered.

The position requires compliance with Alabama statutory and regulatory rules for advanced practice as well as the standards of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. The CRNA must be prepared to care for patients across all age groups, from fetal and newborn patients through infants, children, adolescents, adults and older adults, and must gather the tests, equipment and medications needed to carry out each plan. Work is expected to be done both independently and as part of a team, with confidentiality maintained at all times.

The job is classified as a PRN, variable-shift role. The listed pay range is $165.00 to $165.00. Required credentials include a master's degree in nursing and certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist with the Mississippi Board of Nursing.

Physical demands are substantial: the role involves constant standing, walking, speaking, hearing and repetitive hand motions, frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, pushing, pulling and grasping, and occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, bending and overhead reaching.
