Full details

The hospital operates as a tertiary care center with Level 2 trauma designation. Anesthesia providers there include CRNAs, Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants and physician anesthesiologists, who divide duties and respect one another's input.

Caseload spans general surgery, orthopedics, neurology, plastics, vascular, cardiothoracic, gastroenterology, obstetrics and some pediatric procedures. The facility has 15 operating rooms along with an endoscopy suite and a cardiac suite. Scheduling flexibility is emphasized, with shift lengths that vary across several formats, and occasional weekend on-call duty that can be performed from home.

Core responsibilities include completing pre-anesthetic evaluations, building and carrying out anesthetic plans with appropriate monitoring, providing induction, maintenance and emergence care, and following patients after anesthesia. The provider must recognize physiologic changes during surgery, act on them, and inform the responsible physician. Additional duties may be assigned.

Candidates need graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, an active RN license and Ohio CRNA licensure, and current NBCRNA certification with continued professional certification. BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association are mandatory, while PALS and NRP may be required depending on the assignment. The role calls for sound judgment, the ability to work with limited oversight, and comfort in high-pressure settings. No prior work experience is specified.

Compensation includes a competitive base and supplemental pay, sign-on bonuses for eligible new graduates and experienced providers, and student loan repayment assistance. Benefits include paid time off, CEU support, professional reimbursements, medical, dental and vision coverage starting on day one, relocation help, paid interview travel, and a retirement savings plan with employer contributions of up to 5.5 percent. Malpractice coverage is provided at no cost, and the employer qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness. Research and teaching roles are optional.

The position requires a drug-free workplace with pre-employment controlled substance testing and an annual influenza vaccination or approved exemption. Hiring decisions are made without regard to protected characteristics.
