Full details
This Piedmont Atlanta opening is for an Anesthesia Advanced Practice Provider, either a CRNA or an Anesthesiologist Assistant, who works as a core part of the anesthesia team under the medical direction of anesthesiologists. The provider gives safe, high-quality, patient-centered anesthesia care to patients of every acuity level across surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic and therapeutic settings. The listing highlights competitive pay, a sign-on bonus, comprehensive benefits, and a student stipend that candidates are invited to ask about.
Day to day, the role requires working clinically within an anesthesia care team and operating a wide range of equipment, interpreting the data it produces to deliver anesthesia and perioperative support in the operating room. The provider must communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with nursing and other clinical disciplines, and must apply knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan to meet age-specific and population-specific needs. Other expectations include infection prevention and control, keeping patient records confidential, following facility policy, and helping the operating room run efficiently and on time.
Education requirements differ by credential. A CRNA must have graduated from a nurse anesthesia program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor. An Anesthesiologist Assistant must hold a master's degree in anesthesia from an accredited AA program. The posting welcomes applicants at every experience level and states that new graduates are considered, particularly those committed to learning, professional growth and collaborative teamwork.
Licensure is required by law. CRNA candidates need a current Georgia CRNA license, or must be eligible and willing to obtain one, along with NBCRNA certification. AA candidates need a current Georgia Anesthesiologist Assistant license, or the same eligibility, along with NCCAA certification. Basic Life Support certification is also required.
