Full details
The Anesthesia Advanced Practice Provider, either a CRNA or an Anesthesiologist Assistant, serves as a core member of the anesthesia team and works under the medical direction of anesthesiologists. The role is to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered anesthesia care to patients of every acuity level across a range of settings, including surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures.
The position comes with competitive pay, a sign-on bonus, and a full benefits package, and a student stipend is also available on request. Scheduling is a blend of shift lengths that can be flexed to fit the provider, with optional night and weekend assignments available.
Day-to-day duties include practicing anesthesia as part of the care team, operating and interpreting data from a wide range of anesthesia and perioperative equipment, and communicating clearly, both verbally and in writing, with nursing and other clinical staff. The provider must tailor care to the patient population served, apply knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan, follow infection prevention practices and facility policies, keep records confidential, and help the operating room run efficiently and on time.
Minimum education is graduation from a nurse anesthesia program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor for CRNAs, or a master's degree in anesthesia from an accredited anesthesiologist assistant program for AAs. Candidates at every experience level are welcome, and new graduates committed to learning and professional growth are specifically encouraged to apply.
Required credentials include a current Georgia CRNA or Anesthesiologist Assistant license, or eligibility and willingness to obtain one, along with national certification from the NBCRNA for CRNAs or the NCCAA for AAs. Basic Life Support certification is also required.
