Full details

The Anesthesia Advanced Practice Provider, either a CRNA or an Anesthesiologist Assistant, works as a core member of the anesthesia team under the medical direction of anesthesiologists. The role focuses on delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered anesthesia care to patients of every acuity level across surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, and therapeutic settings.

The position is advertised with competitive pay, a sign-on bonus, and a broad benefits package, and a student stipend is also mentioned for those who inquire. Several schedule formats are offered: a full-time track with premium pay after shifts and premium pay for home call, and a part-time track that includes benefits and combines post-shift home call with weekend home call. Shared holidays are part of the arrangement.

Day-to-day responsibilities include working within the anesthesia care team, operating and interpreting data from a range of monitoring and anesthesia equipment, and supporting patient safety throughout perioperative and operating room care. The provider must communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with nurses and other clinicians, apply knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan, follow infection prevention practices, keep records confidential, follow facility policies, and help the operating room run efficiently.

Candidates need a nurse anesthesia degree from a COA-accredited program for the CRNA role, or a master's in anesthesia from an accredited program for the Anesthesiologist Assistant role. New graduates are welcome, and applicants at all experience levels are encouraged to apply. Required credentials include a current Georgia license, or eligibility and willingness to obtain one, national certification (NBCRNA for CRNAs or NCCAA for AAs), and Basic Life Support certification.
