Full details
Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania is looking to add another CRNA to its staff. Responsibilities also include pre-operative assessments, post-operative follow-up, and acting as a patient advocate and trusted guide who links patients and families with physicians.
The hospital is a Level I Trauma Center and offers a broad mix of cases, with coverage for nearly all case types except heart-lung transplants and burns. The anesthesia team also supports 13 non-OR locations, such as GI/Pulmonary, the cath and electrophysiology lab, interventional radiology, obstetrics, and MRI. The campus has 31 operating rooms, holds Comprehensive Stroke Center status, and is physically connected to the Janet Weis Children's Hospital, so CRNAs can care for both adult and pediatric patients.
Benefits include paid vacation and holidays, a 403(b) retirement plan, generous continuing education allowances, and health, dental and vision coverage. The employer also offers forgivable recruitment loans, relocation assistance, overtime opportunities, and access to a wide range of specialists and subspecialists. Student nurse anesthetists are welcome to apply. The position requires a master's degree in nursing, Basic Life Support certification, CRNA licensure, and a Pennsylvania RN license. The posting notes that the position does not qualify for a J-1 waiver.
