Somnia Anesthesia, a clinician-led, physician-owned anesthesia group, is recruiting full-time CRNAs for its team at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, Long Island, New York. The practice follows a care team model with a collaborative approach and a relaxed working style.

The hospital is a 530-bed tertiary teaching center and Level I trauma center with 10 operating rooms. The caseload is broad, covering roughly 8,200 cases a year, including about 1,300 trauma cases, around 1,350 orthopedic cases, 100 neurological cases and 1,200 obstetric deliveries. More than 75 percent of the cases are surgical, and the service does not include cardiac cases or healthy pediatric patients.

Compensation is listed at $291,200 per year, along with a $20,000 sign-on bonus tied to a two-year commitment. Benefits include five weeks of paid time off, continuing education funding of up to $3,000, and medical, dental, vision, life and disability coverage. Medical professional liability insurance is provided, with receipts required for reimbursement. Relocation assistance of up to $10,000 is available for candidates coming from out of state or out of the area.

Qualifications include an active New York license, board certification or eligibility, and current ACLS, PALS and BLS credentials.

The position is near Eisenhower Park and the Long Island beaches, and the referral program for this role pays up to $5,000 if a referred candidate is hired, subject to terms and conditions.
