Full details
This is a 104-day contract assignment in Missouri, starting January 4, 2027. Work is scheduled on Saturdays, with the provider working solo as a CRNA for gastrointestinal cases and joining an anesthesia care team for the remaining Saturday shifts.
The GI work takes place in two endoscopy rooms at a digestive health lab, generally one Saturday per month, and covers outpatient endoscopic procedures performed at the main hospital, mostly for ASA 1 and 2 patients. Across the assignment, the CRNA would deliver general anesthesia to adults, give spinal, epidural and other regional blocks for surgery, and manage ventilation along with acute fluid and blood pressure problems.
Larger cases are handled in the main hospital and include neurosurgical procedures of the head and spine, thoracic surgery apart from open-heart work, complex vascular cases that exclude open-heart surgery, and complicated orthopedic operations. The CRNA would also place central venous lines, arterial lines and pulmonary artery catheters.
Experience with the Cerner electronic medical record is required. The company advertises competitive pay, coverage of travel-related costs, A-rated medical malpractice insurance, and a dedicated recruiter to help with later travel assignments.
