Full details

Marshfield Medical Center in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, part of a large rural-focused health system, is recruiting an in-house CRNA to join an established anesthesia team. The position is scheduled for 40 hours per week and totals 1,720 hours per year, with additional hours paid at $200 per hour. The employer offers up to $100,000 in student loan assistance or a sign-on bonus, depending on the commitment made.

The CRNA will provide anesthesia or sedation for patients across a range of surgical and non-surgical procedures. Responsibilities include developing pre-anesthetic plans, writing orders before, during and after procedures, and monitoring patients, including hemodynamic monitoring, to adjust care to the anesthesia plan. The role also involves ordering and evaluating diagnostic tests when needed, collaborating with other providers, and communicating with patients, families and the wider care team. The position calls for the ability to meet the developmental needs of all patient populations.

Candidates need a bachelor's degree from an accredited advanced practice nursing program in the relevant specialty, and a master's, DNP or PhD is preferred. An unencumbered license as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist from the state board of nursing is required, along with CRNA certification maintained through the NBCRNA, and multi-state licensure privileges may be needed. Department-specific competencies and certifications must be obtained and maintained, and ACLS certification is preferred. Privileging and credentialing documents take precedence over this description in defining minimum qualifications and scope of practice.
