Full details

Marshfield Medical Center - Weston is seeking a full-time CRNA for beeper call to join a newly forming anesthesia team in the Wausau/Weston area of Wisconsin. The position is scheduled for 1,720 hours per year, with additional pay for hours beyond 1,720 and a generous recruitment bonus available.

The role requires 24-hour beeper availability with a 20-minute response expectation, and a designated call room is provided when needed. The call rotation is 1 in 4.

The CRNA will administer anesthesia or sedation for a range of surgical and non-surgical procedures. Responsibilities include developing pre-anesthetic plans, writing orders before, during, and after procedures, and coordinating with the providers caring for each patient. The position also involves communicating with patients, families, and other members of the care team, ordering diagnostic tests as needed, and monitoring patients, including hemodynamic monitoring, to adjust the anesthesia plan. The CRNA should be able to address the developmental needs of all patient populations.

A bachelor's degree from an accredited advanced practice nursing program is required, and a master's degree, Doctor of Nursing Practice, or PhD is preferred. Candidates need an unrestricted license to practice as a CRNA from the state board of nursing where they will work, or multi-state licensure privileges if the position requires them. CRNA certification must be obtained and kept current through the national certification body, and department-specific competencies must be completed and maintained. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is preferred. Privileging documents and credentialing requirements take precedence over this description where they differ.
