Full details

This full-time CRNA position is based at the Sanford Ambulatory Surgery Center in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, and is a 1.0 FTE salaried role working Monday through Friday in an outpatient setting. The nurse anesthetist will administer anesthesia across a range of surgical specialties, including orthopedic, ENT, general, gynecological, ophthalmological, and endoscopy procedures, and will practice within the full scope of CRNA practice.

Responsibilities span the entire perioperative period: pre-anesthesia patient assessment, administering and monitoring anesthesia, post-anesthesia care, and pain management. The CRNA works alongside the interprofessional team to protect patient safety and comfort, and takes an active role in daily workflow with the campus manager, including equipment upkeep and supply needs.

Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited advanced practice program in their specialty; a master's degree, DNP, or PhD is preferred. A minimum of three years of experience is required, with five years preferred. The ideal candidate works independently, makes sound clinical decisions, and has regional experience, though training is available for those without it.

Applicants need an unencumbered license as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist from the state board of nursing in each state of practice, or multi-state licensure privileges where the role requires them, along with NBCRNA certification maintained over time. Department-specific competencies are required, and ACLS and PALS certifications are preferred. The organization describes itself as an EEO/AA employer.
