Full details
This is a full-time weekend position for a CRNA in Austin, Texas, with two 12-hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday and no travel between facilities. The group supplies anesthesia across much of the St. David's Health Care network in Austin, covering the main campus, the North Austin and South Austin hospitals, Round Rock Medical Center, and affiliated outpatient surgery centers.
The practice is known for serving the St. David's Medical Center campus, which houses a well-known cardiac arrhythmia institute and a neuroscience and spine institute, and it delivers both inpatient and outpatient care. Anesthesia teams are made up of anesthesiologists, CRNAs, and CAAs who handle a broad spectrum of complicated cases and work under a team model where every member is heard and valued.
Case work spans general inpatient and outpatient surgery, trauma, obstetrics, neurosurgery, electrophysiology, and more. CRNAs perform their own spinal anesthetics and, when appropriate, epidurals and arterial lines.
Responsibilities include delivering full anesthesia care across procedures, completing pre-anesthesia assessments and securing informed consent, building and reviewing anesthetic plans with patients, running induction, maintenance, and emergence, monitoring patients and responding to changes, and contributing to department coordination and clinical leadership.
Candidates need a current registered professional nursing license, graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and current certification or recertification through the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
Pay is listed as $200K to $260K based on years of experience, prorated to 0.8 FTE, with a $100K sign-on incentive also prorated to 0.8 FTE. The benefits package includes health, life, vision, dental, disability, and AD&D coverage, generous paid time off, flexible spending and health savings accounts, a 401(k) with profit sharing, fully paid malpractice coverage, and loan repayment and training assistance.
