Full details
Henry Ford Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate CRNA to join its anesthesia care team. The nurse anesthetist would deliver intravenous, inhalation, and regional anesthetics to keep patients free of pain during surgery, obstetrical deliveries, and other medical or dental procedures. Patients of every age and every A.S.A. class, including geriatric and pediatric patients, may be part of the caseload, and airway management is provided as needed across the hospital.
The Department of Anesthesiology includes more than 50 CRNAs and 15 senior staff physicians, and it describes its culture as a team-based approach. Practice opportunities include general and regional anesthesia as well as invasive line placement. The hospital is a level 2 trauma center with 23 operating rooms covering cardiac, thoracic, neurosurgery, orthopedic, general, ENT, urology, ophthalmology, podiatry, and pediatric cases. Anesthesia is also provided off-site in endoscopy suites, the cath lab, radiology (CT and MRI), and obstetrics. Shifts of 8, 10, 12, or 16 hours are available.
Core duties include completing pre-anesthesia assessments and building individualized anesthesia plans, then delivering general, regional, or monitored anesthesia care alongside surgeons and other providers. The nurse anesthetist monitors patients during procedures, handles anesthesia-related complications, provides post-anesthesia recovery and pain management, and keeps documentation consistent with hospital policy and regulatory standards.
Candidates need a current RN license and NBCRNA CRNA certification, a master's or doctoral degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills. They must work well with anesthesiologists and other health care providers. Required credentials include clinical privileges, a State of Michigan RN license, state specialty certification, CRNA certification, and ALS and BLS certification.
A sign-on bonus of $40k is noted as available for eligible candidates. Compensation includes a competitive salary. Benefits cover family-forming support such as paid parental leave, adoption and donor assistance, and fertility care. The retirement plan is a 403(b) with a 3.5% salary match, and medical, dental, and vision coverage is offered along with HSA, FSA, and DCFSA tax-savings account options.
