Full details

This per diem role places a CRNA within the anesthesia team at a 480-bed hospital in Joliet, Illinois, which pairs a community hospital's personal feel with the resources of an academic medical center. The facility houses a major cancer center, a Level II emergency and trauma center, an established heart and vascular program, and three Healing Arts Pavilion treatment centers, and Chicago Magazine has listed it among the city's leading hospitals.

The position pays $180 per hour. Shifts are offered in a variety of options, and the preferred arrangement consists of 5 to 8-hour days.

Case work spans cardiac, thoracic, neuro, general, obstetric, and healthy pediatric surgery. The CRNA delivers full anesthesia care across these procedures, completes pre-anesthesia assessments, secures informed consent, and designs and reviews anesthetic plans with patients. Responsibilities also include managing induction, maintenance, and emergence, watching the patient's physiological status and intervening as required, and contributing to departmental coordination and clinical leadership.

Candidates need a current registration as a professional nurse and a diploma from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, along with certification or recertification through the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
