Full details

The role is a full-time CRNA position at PRIME Saint Joseph Medical Center in Chicago. The hospital combines a community-hospital feel with the resources of an academic medical center, and it includes a leading cancer center, a Level II emergency and trauma center, a respected heart and vascular program, and three Healing Arts Pavilion treatment sites. Chicago Magazine has listed the facility among the city's top hospitals.

Compensation is advertised as a salary of $275K per year, along with a $75K sign-on incentive. The package also includes medical, vision, dental, disability and accidental death coverage, generous paid time off, flexible spending and health savings account options, fully paid malpractice coverage, and access to loan repayment and training support.

Cases span obstetrics, general surgery, cardiac, orthopedic and urology procedures, with cardiothoracic and neurosurgical work also available. Shifts come in several configurations.

Responsibilities include delivering full anesthesia care across a range of operations, completing pre-anesthesia assessments and securing informed consent, and building and reviewing anesthetic plans with patients. The CRNA manages induction, maintenance and recovery from anesthesia, watches vital signs and responds to changes as needed, and contributes to departmental coordination and clinical leadership.

Candidates need a current registered professional nursing license, graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and current certification or recertification through the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
