Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, a community and teaching hospital in Brooklyn, New York, is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for a full-time position. The hospital has served its community since 1889 and employs roughly 1,800 physicians, nurses, and support staff who treat a varied patient population. It partners with New York Medical College in training future physicians.

The facility is busy: its Pediatric and Adult Emergency Departments log 90,500 visits each year, about 1,400 babies are delivered there, and its ambulatory care center network handles outpatient care. The anesthetist would cover cases in general surgery, endocrine, labor and delivery, orthopedics, gynecology, urology, ENT, vascular, neurology, and thoracic surgery.

Responsibilities include providing full anesthesia care across these procedures, carrying out pre-anesthesia assessments and securing informed consent, and building and reviewing anesthetic plans with patients. The role also covers managing induction, maintenance, and emergence, watching patients' physiological status and intervening as necessary, and contributing to departmental coordination and clinical leadership.

Candidates need a current registered professional nursing license, graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and current certification or recertification through the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.

Compensation is listed at $115.38 per hour in base pay, plus shift differential and additional call pay, with a $100K sign-on incentive and a $50K loan repayment benefit.
