Full details

This per diem Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist opening is based at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center campus of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York, New York, on a day shift. The CRNAs there provide patient-centered anesthesia across a wide range of surgical cases, including cardiac, vascular, neurosurgical, and pediatric procedures. Their work covers general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care for both scheduled and emergency operations as well as diagnostic procedures across the campus.

CRNAs may choose to rotate between the Columbia University Irving Medical Center site and the Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital, which lets them care for both adult and pediatric patients. Those who prefer may instead select the community-based Allen Hospital, known for orthopedic and complex spine surgery.

Preferred qualifications include at least one year of experience working as a CRNA and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP or DNAP) degree. Required credentials are CRNA certification, a Master of Science in Nursing, a current New York State RN license or the willingness to obtain one, and both BCLS and ACLS certifications.

The employer describes a culture of respect, belonging, and inclusion, along with comprehensive benefits covering employees and their families. All positions require on-site presence, so candidates should live within a commutable distance of the hospital, and travel expenses are not reimbursed.

The posted pay rate is $205.00 per hour, and the employer says base pay takes into account experience, education, and licensure.
