Full details
The schedule is 8-hour shifts. This CRNA opening is at a same-day, multispecialty surgery center in Hagerstown, MD, set among rolling farmland and wooded forests, and part-time candidates are welcome. The center has two treatment rooms for local or monitored anesthesia care, one operating room for procedures needing general anesthesia, and both a preoperative area and a post-anesthesia care area. It is the longest-running facility of its kind serving the community.
The role covers anesthesia for pain management, orthopedic, general, dental and oral, gynecology, plastic and reconstructive, podiatry, and endoscopy cases. Duties include performing pre-anesthesia assessments, securing informed consent, planning anesthetic care with patients, managing induction, maintenance, and emergence, and monitoring patients and adjusting care as needed. The provider also contributes to departmental coordination and clinical leadership.
Work runs Monday through Friday with no call. The provider may also cross-credential at another nearby ambulatory surgery center in Frederick.
Compensation is listed at $144.23 per hour, with a $50K sign-on incentive. The benefits package includes medical, life, vision, dental, disability, and AD&D coverage, generous paid time off, flexible spending and health savings accounts, and a 401(k) with profit sharing. Malpractice coverage is fully paid, and loan repayment and training assistance are available.
Candidates need a current registered professional nursing license, graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and certification or recertification through the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
