The CRNA role is split roughly 15% operating room and call, 85% inpatient and outpatient work. Providers collaborate with an M.D. anesthesiologist while also being expected to work independently during regular hours and on call.

Call includes one weekend per month plus one to two weekdays per week. Schedules may be four 10-hour days or five 8-hour days, and five 10-hour days can be considered if the provider prefers them. Room time is 0715, and anesthesia staff typically arrive between 0630 and 0645.
