Full details

A medical center in the Missouri Ozarks is seeking a board-eligible or board-certified CRNA to join a team of five, including four CRNAs and three anesthesiologists. The setting offers a close-knit community, abundant outdoor recreation, quality schooling, a safe environment, and natural scenery.

The department runs a four-block schedule with a call ratio currently at 1:4, expected to move to 1:5 when another room opens. A post-call day off is included. Anesthesia is supervised medically, CRNAs practice with autonomy by choice, and a physician is always available.

Cases span nearly the full operating room spectrum: neurosurgery (mainly spine, rarely head), vascular, orthopedics, ENT, urology, OB, and GI, plus healthy pediatric patients for general, ENT, and GU procedures. Cardiac cases are not required. The center averages 55 deliveries per month, with about 75% receiving epidurals.

Regular hours are Monday through Friday, eight hours a day, with staff arriving at 6:30 a.m. and patients in the room by 7:00 a.m. Rooms typically wind down to two by 3 p.m. Equipment includes Draeger anesthesia machines, and the anesthesia department recently launched the Innovium EMR.

New graduates are considered, and the current CRNAs, who have more than 55 years of combined experience, are willing to mentor. The position is in a designated underserved area, and the employer sponsors J-1 and H-1B visas; the site is H-1B cap exempt and falls within the Delta Regional Authority, which imposes no limit on J-1 waivers and has no waiver application deadline.

Compensation includes a base salary of $150k plus overtime, with W-2 CRNA earnings averaging over $200k. A generous sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are offered, and the hospital supplies malpractice insurance. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life, short- and long-term disability, and AD&D coverage, along with 27 days of PTO annually that rises to 32 days after five years.

Health insurance is described as very affordable, with a non-smoker employee rate of $22.00 per month and a family rate of $154 per month. The employer matches 403(b) contributions up to 3% after one year of employment.
