A Gulf Coast hospital in South Texas is recruiting one permanent CRNA and one locum CRNA for its OB/OR and labor and delivery department. The unit averages around 170 deliveries a month and roughly 80 GYN cases. The facility is not a teaching hospital, so the provider must be skilled with epidurals and spinals and able to work independently without MDA supervision.
The group runs a four-CRNA rotation with one-in-four in-house call and one-in-four backup call. Typical cases include cesarean sections, sterilizations, hysterectomies, and labor epidurals. The successful candidate should also be willing to cover the endoscopy department, which the group staffs about one week per month.
