A long-term locum CRNA position is available at a hospital system in Corsicana, Texas, roughly an hour south of Dallas. The role suits independent CRNAs who want to practice full-scope anesthesia in a small, close-knit community. The start date is as soon as credentialing is complete, and the assignment is ongoing.

The work takes place in an inpatient hospital setting, with shifts scheduled Monday through Friday that run either 8 or 10 hours. Call is required on weekdays, weekends, and holidays, handled by beeper with a 30-minute response time. The practice is independent, with no anesthesiologist supervision. Anesthesia types include general, MAC, spinal, and epidural (preferred), along with regional techniques (also preferred). Duties include ventilator management and arterial and central line placement. Cases exclude cardiac, neuro, and complex vascular procedures, and charting is done on paper.

Credentialing may take up to 90 days. Candidates need an active Texas CRNA license, proof of COVID-19 vaccination, and the ability to work independently.

Pay is hourly, quoted in a range of $225 to $255 per hour and open to negotiation, depending on the length of the term and availability. Travel and lodging, plus a rental car or mileage, can be reimbursed separately, or an all-inclusive rate can be quoted on request. Malpractice insurance is fully provided at an A+ rated carrier. Contractors also receive support from the placing agency and access to optional health, dental, and financial plans through an independent contractor benefits association.
