The position is a full-time CRNA role at a specialty heart hospital in Central Austin, Texas, a 72-bed adult facility with 6 operating rooms and an EP lab. Cardiac orientation is provided to those hired full time, and the team seeks experienced providers. The hospital is described as award-winning, with surgeons regarded as friendly and caring and achieving strong outcomes. The practice has 9 CRNAs and 4 MDs on staff.

Anesthetists here work within a team model with professional autonomy, including placing lines, and collaborate closely with colleagues. The caseload includes open heart, electrophysiology lab, endovascular, NORA and general surgery cases, with no OB, pediatric or neuro work. Duties cover full anesthesia care, pre-anesthesia evaluations and informed consent, developing anesthetic plans with patients, managing induction, maintenance and emergence, monitoring patients and intervening as needed, and supporting departmental coordination and clinical leadership.

Compensation is a base salary of $200-245K, depending on years of experience, plus a $50K sign-on incentive. The benefits package includes health, life, vision, dental, disability and AD&D insurance, flexible spending and health savings accounts, and a 401(k) with profit sharing. Paid time off totals 7-8 weeks, malpractice coverage is fully paid, and loan repayment and training assistance are available.

The schedule involves no call, weekends or holidays. A "Peel" staffing system means some days are shorter and others longer, with overtime being rare.

Candidates need a current registered professional nursing license, graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and current certification or recertification by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
