This part-time CRNA role is based at a specialty heart hospital in Central Austin, Texas. The facility has six operating rooms, one electrophysiology lab, and 72 beds, and it is run by a team of nine CRNAs and four physicians. The surgeons are described as friendly and attentive, and the hospital has earned recognition for clinical outcomes and awards.

Assigned cases include open heart, electrophysiology, endovascular, non-OR anesthesia, and general surgery, with no obstetric, pediatric, or neurosurgical patients. The hospital reported 680 pump cases, 250 TAVR procedures, and 65 mitral clip procedures in 2022. Duties cover pre-anesthesia evaluation, confirming patient consent, reviewing anesthetic options and risks, managing induction, maintenance, and emergence, monitoring the patient, and performing clinical interventions as needed.

The schedule is part time, about 32 hours per week with some flexibility, and excludes call, weekends, and holidays. Candidates need a current registered nurse license, graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and AANA certification or recertification.

Compensation includes a competitive base salary and a cardiac stipend of 24K, along with a sign-on incentive of $40K that may also be paired with loan repayment or training assistance.
