Full details
The practice is recruiting full-time certified registered nurse anesthetists for Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center. The new acute care hospital opened in summer 2022 to bring specialty services closer to residents of Lancaster and York counties, so they no longer need to travel to Hershey, and it plays a key part in the system's goal of keeping care near the communities it serves.
Compensation is listed as a salary between $255K and $330K, equal to $122.60 to $158.65 per hour, with a $75K sign-on incentive. The benefits package covers medical, life, vision, and dental coverage, disability and accidental death insurance, generous time off, flexible spending and health savings accounts, a 401(k) with profit sharing, and fully paid malpractice coverage. Loan repayment and training assistance are also available.
The role avoids nights, weekends, holidays, and call duties, and CRNA call is handled in house only. Elective weekend cases are not scheduled.
Anesthesia work spans a varied caseload including orthopedics, healthy pediatric patients, light obstetrics, urology, neurology, general surgery, gastroenterology, transesophageal echocardiography, and electrophysiology lab procedures.
Responsibilities include delivering complete anesthesia care across surgical procedures, completing pre-anesthesia assessments and securing informed consent, planning anesthetics with patients, managing induction, maintenance, and emergence, monitoring physiological status and intervening as needed, and supporting departmental coordination and clinical leadership.
Candidates need a current registered professional nursing license, graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and current or renewed certification from the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
