This CRNA opening is based at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina. Rex is a private, not-for-profit facility affiliated with the UNC Health Care System, with 660 beds and services that include a heart center, a family birth center, a cancer center, and a wellness center. The main campus has roughly 40 anesthetizing locations, among them 24 main operating rooms, several procedure rooms, three OB suites, and areas outside the main department such as electrophysiology, TAVR, and hybrid MRI.

The anesthesia department includes about 30 anesthesiologists and 70 CRNAs and is affiliated with the Raleigh School of Nurse Anesthesia. Care is delivered by a team in a collegial setting, with an emphasis on giving every member a voice and supporting one another in pursuing high-quality care for a large and varied patient population.

The role covers cardiac, pediatric, OB/GYN, general, plastic, urology, and vascular cases. Responsibilities include providing full anesthesia care across procedures, performing pre-anesthesia evaluations, obtaining informed consent, developing anesthetic plans with patients, managing induction, maintenance, and emergence, monitoring physiological status and intervening as needed, and contributing to departmental coordination and clinical leadership.

The position is offered as a 1099 independent contractor arrangement at an hourly rate of $175. Candidates need a current registered nurse license, graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and AANA certification or recertification. The contractor must supply Articles of Incorporation for an S or C corporation and carry personal malpractice coverage at full State Limits.
