Full details

This CRNA role is based at Raleigh Orthopedic Surgery Center, located on the ground floor of a four-story orthopedic clinic building on Edwards Mill Road in Raleigh, North Carolina. The center is described as the largest and most modern outpatient orthopedic facility in Eastern North Carolina, is part of the city's oldest orthopedic practice, and is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. It runs seven operating spaces with a strong emphasis on sports medicine, total joint procedures, hand and wrist work, and foot and ankle surgery.

The anesthesia group is presented as a highly experienced team working at a fast pace in an efficient setting, and regional anesthesia is used frequently. The assigned caseload covers sports medicine, total hips, knees and shoulders, foot and ankle, hand, wrist and elbow, and small back procedures, with occasional pediatric cases. Duties include pre-anesthesia assessment, confirming patient consent, reviewing anesthetic options and risks with patients, managing induction, maintenance and emergence, monitoring physiological status, and performing clinical interventions as needed.

Scheduled hours are Monday through Friday with no holidays, nights or weekends, and the schedule is described as flexible. The hourly rate listed is $175. Candidates need a current registered professional nurse license, graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and current certification or recertification through the AANA's certification council. Applicants must also carry malpractice insurance with limits of $1M/$3M and provide articles of incorporation for a C or S corporation.
