Full details

Tennessee Valley Eye Center, a physician-owned free-standing surgery center founded in 1999, is seeking a full-time CRNA. The center concentrates on eye surgery, and its board-certified surgeons handle every ophthalmic subspecialty, from cataract and cornea work to glaucoma, retina, eyelid, and eye muscle procedures. Staff describe the setting as well run, with a strong surgical team and a pleasant atmosphere.

The anesthesia group is described as cooperative and content with the workplace. The assignment centers on anesthesia care for cataract, oculoplastic, and retina cases, with an occasional general case mixed in. The schedule consists of four ten-hour shifts, with no call and no weekend work.

Responsibilities include delivering thorough anesthesia care across the surgical caseload, completing pre-anesthesia assessments and securing informed consent, and building anesthetic plans together with patients. The CRNA also directs induction, maintenance, and emergence, watches each patient's physiological status and steps in as necessary, and contributes to department coordination and clinical leadership.

Candidates need an active license as a registered professional nurse, a diploma from an accredited nurse anesthesia program, and current certification or recertification through the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.

Compensation is listed as a salary of up to $215K per year, along with a $75K sign-on incentive. Benefits cover medical, life, vision, and dental coverage, disability and accidental death insurance, a generous paid time off allowance, flexible spending and health savings account options, and fully paid malpractice coverage. Loan repayment and training assistance are also available.
