A hospital-based facility is looking for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide locum tenens coverage while it addresses a current staffing need. The role runs Monday through Friday on 8-hour shifts, with 32 hours per week guaranteed, and may include weeknight call.

Anesthesia work takes place mainly in the main operating room and in endoscopy. The caseload covers adult and pediatric general surgery, endoscopy, obstetrics, neurosurgery, and a range of regional techniques, including intravenous regional, spinal, epidural, and other regional anesthesia.

Credentialing takes roughly 60 to 90 days, and temporary privileges are available. The site uses the Meditech Expanse electronic medical record.

Candidates need Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support certification, along with board certification from the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology. An active Massachusetts license is required, or the provider must be willing to obtain one. A minimum of two years of experience is expected, though newly graduated nurse anesthetists are being considered.
