This locum tenens role for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist is a 39-week assignment at a large academic healthcare system in Massachusetts, running from the stated start date in April 2027 through the stated end date in December 2027. The posting lists a pay rate of $220 to $241 per hour and states that the position carries no call.
The setting is a large academic system that includes Level I trauma care, operating within a medically supervised anesthesia care team. Cases span cardiac, transplant, trauma, neurosurgery, ENT and orthopedic procedures, and regional blocks are performed by physicians. Work takes place across several hospital and outpatient anesthesia locations, with rotation between sites as departmental needs require.
Core duties include preanesthesia evaluations, preparing anesthesia care plans, and administering and monitoring anesthesia under medical supervision. The CRNA also manages airway and physiologic monitoring, takes part in complex and high-acuity procedures, and coordinates with anesthesiologists, surgeons and perioperative nursing staff. Anesthesia documentation is kept in Epic.
Candidates need an active Massachusetts license.
