Full details

A locum CRNA is needed in Massachusetts to provide coverage for a client on an urgent basis, continuing until a permanent hire is secured. Candidates should hold a Massachusetts board certification, an active DEA registration, and current ACLS and PALS credentials through the AHA.

The facility is a high-volume surgical and obstetric environment staffed by 10 anesthesiologists and 36 CRNAs in an anesthesia care team model, covering about 21 points of service daily across 19 operating rooms plus endoscopy, cardiac and obstetric areas. Annual volume is roughly 15,000 OR cases and approximately 2,000 deliveries, along with around 300 cardiac procedures such as TAVR, mitral valve clip, Watchman, on- and off-pump bypass, ablation and TEE. Medically directed cases span general, orthopedic, urology, ENT and ophthalmology, bariatric, vascular, neuro, thoracic, gynecologic, dermatologic, plastic, cardiac and obstetric surgery, with no trauma cases.

One anesthesiologist and two CRNAs are in-house at all times, and cardiac cases are medically directed with certain CRNAs dedicated to heart surgery. Obstetric CRNAs are supervised and work an in-house team model.

Call is handled from evening to morning on weekdays at a lower call-back rate and around the clock on weekends at a higher one; weekday call comes roughly once a month and weekend call a couple of times a year.

Compensation is an competitive hourly rate, with malpractice insurance covered by the staffing firm and travel and lodging paid.
